Meetings & Events

Our annual meeting is the first Monday of October and is held at the Sebastian River Art Club located at 1245 Main Street at 4:30 PM. Our regular monthly meetings (which are open to members except during executive session) are held on the first Monday of each month except when the first Monday is a holiday, in which case we meet on the second Monday of that month. 

 

The Sebastian Area Historical Society is delighted to announce a “Family Fun Weekend” at the Sebastian Area Historical Museum from Friday, October 11th. thru Sunday, October 13th., 2019.  The museum, which is located at 1235 Main Street in the Old Sebastian Grammar School, will be open from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday evening, October 11th and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 12th.   On  Sunday, October 13th. the museum will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  This will be a wonderful opportunity for the entire family to visit the museum and take a journey into the past.  The collections bring to life the rich heritage of our area.  

 

The Sebastian Area Historical Society provides thought-provoking and educational programs given by local speakers pertaining to the dynamic heritage our county enjoys. Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend. Refreshments are provided and an opportunity to interact with the speakers is provided after each presentation.
